The Open Sunnit SRL has concluded with great success, an event that animated the courts of the Sporting Club San Severo for fifteen days, recording the participation of over 90 athletes and the playing of approximately 100 matches. The competition, which featured a total prize pool of 5,500 euros, attracted players from various Italian regions, confirming the growing prestige of the tournament within the national tennis scene.

The final day of competition took place on Sunday, June 7th, with the concluding acts for all scheduled categories. Despite the high afternoon temperatures, numerous enthusiasts filled the club's stands to watch the finals and support the event's protagonists, helping to create an audience setting worthy of major occasions.

Final Results

Men's Main Draw

The final match of the event, for the awarding of the prize money, saw the number one seed Fabrizio Osti (Tennis Club Napoli) face off against Davide Liberati (Avezzano). Although not starting as a favorite, Liberati played a tournament of absolute value. However, Fabrizio Osti made his experience count, prevailing with a score of 6-4 6-2, claiming the Open Sunnit SRL title.

Men's Fourth Category

Sporting Club San Severo's own Gianluigi Olivieri won the title by defeating his club mate Nicola Novelli with a score of 6-0 3-0 ret.

Men's Third Category

Daniele Papeo (Tennis Club Barletta) prevailed over Alberto Mastrangelo (Tennis Club Termoli) with a result of 6-3 6-3, confirming the value displayed throughout the tournament.

Women's Main Draw

Beatrice Veltri (Libero Tennis Cosenza) won the title by defeating Chiara Capurso (Circolo Tennis Fasano) with a score of 6-2 6-0, in a final that highlighted the high technical level of the protagonists.

Upcoming Events

With the Open Sunnit SRL successfully concluded, the Sporting Club San Severo prepares to host the final tournament of the spring-summer season: the fourth category pre-qualifications for IBI2027.

This competition will allow the best players of the IV category in the province of Foggia to gain access to the regional phases and continue to pursue the dream of reaching the prestigious courts of the Foro Italico. A new appointment that confirms the club's willingness to invest in the promotion of tennis and offer high-quality sporting events to the territory.
